Bathroom Renovations
Bathroom renovations built to last, not just look good on handover day
From a single ensuite refresh to a full strip-out and rebuild, we handle the waterproofing, tiling, plumbing and finishing ourselves — it's the specialty the Integra name is built on.

Bathrooms are where Integra Renovations started, and it's still the room we're most particular about. Waterproofing failures and rushed tiling are the two things that turn a bathroom renovation into a homeowner's worst renovation story — so we treat both as non-negotiable, not line items to speed through.
Every bathroom job starts with an honest look at the existing layout — what's working, what's not, and whether moving a drain or a wall actually earns its cost versus working with the existing plumbing footprint. We'll tell you when a full reconfiguration is worth it and when it isn't.
From there it's demolition, waterproofing to Australian Standard membrane specifications, tiling, and the vanity, shower and bath install — with the same crew accountable for the job from first cut to final silicone bead, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.
What's Included
What this service covers
Waterproofing done properly
Full membrane waterproofing to shower recesses, hobs and walls — the part of a bathroom reno you never see again once it's tiled over, so it has to be right the first time.
Custom vanity & storage
Floating or freestanding vanities sized to your actual space, not a catalogue standard width, with storage planned around what you actually keep in a bathroom.
Tiling that's actually level
Full-height wall tiling, feature niches and shower benches set out properly before the first tile goes up — no eyeballing grout lines as you go.
Ensuite & powder room specialists
Small-format bathrooms and ensuites done with the same attention as a full main bathroom — tight spaces just mean less room for error.
Our Process
How it works
Consultation & measure-up
We visit the bathroom in person, check the existing plumbing and waterproofing condition, and talk through what you actually want the space to do.
Design & fixed-price quote
A layout, fixture selection and an itemised fixed-price quote — no vague allowances that turn into surprise costs mid-job.
Strip-out & waterproofing
Full demolition, then membrane waterproofing to shower recesses and walls, signed off before a single tile goes on.
Tiling & fit-off
Wall and floor tiling, then vanity, shower screen, toilet, tapware and bath installation.
Final clean & handover
A full site clean, a walkthrough of the finished bathroom together, and compliance paperwork for the plumbing and waterproofing work.
Common Problems We Fix
- Failed or ageing waterproofing causing damp walls, ceiling stains in the room below, or a musty smell that won't go away
- Cracked, dated or discoloured tiling that no amount of cleaning will fix
- A layout that wastes space — an awkward step-in shower, a vanity too small for two people, no linen storage
- Worn tapware, a bath nobody uses, or a shower screen that's become impossible to keep clean
Pricing
Bathroom renovation cost depends on the room's size, layout changes and fixture selection, so we don't publish generic price ranges — every quote is itemised and fixed-price once we've seen the space. Request a free, obligation-free quote and we'll walk you through it.

Bathroom Renovations — common questions
How long does a full bathroom renovation take?+
A standard bathroom strip-out and rebuild typically runs 3–5 weeks once work starts on site, depending on layout changes and whether we're waiting on any custom joinery or stone. We'll give you a realistic timeline as part of the quote, not just a best-case estimate.
Do I need council approval for a bathroom renovation?+
Most like-for-like bathroom renovations don't require council approval, but moving plumbing, changing a window, or structural changes can trigger requirements depending on your local council. We check this as part of the design stage and manage any paperwork needed.
Can you match my existing tiles if I'm only renovating part of the bathroom?+
We can try to source a close match, but tile ranges get discontinued constantly, so an exact match usually isn't guaranteed. In most cases we'll talk through a feature tile or a fresh full-room approach instead of chasing a match that might not exist.
What's actually involved in waterproofing a shower?+
A compliant shower waterproofing job means a full membrane system to the shower recess floor, walls (typically up to 1800mm) and any hobs or steps, built to Australian Standard AS 3740. It's inspected before tiling covers it — this is the step we won't rush regardless of timeline pressure.
